All of our guests agree to meet these expectations.

The Complete House Rules

 

We very much enjoy most of our experiences with guests in our B&B. Hosting is fun and we love meeting people from all over! I like to feel helpful and offer people warm hospitality. Please help our work stay joyful by following these simple rules.
 

Rule #1: Airbnb guests, please read our entire Airbnb listing to ensure that there will be no misunderstandings.

All Guests:

  • Non-smokers only. Absolutely No Smoking anywhere on the property, inside or outside. This includes marijuana, vaping, e-cigarettes.

  • We are very respectful, warm, welcoming people. Please respect our home in return.

  • Please take your shoes off by the front door.

  • No eating or drinking in the bedrooms, except water. (non-staining, no crumbs)

  • Week Nights: Please be fairly quiet Sunday to Thursday from approx. 10:30 pm until 6:30 am. 

  • Weekends: Please be fairly quiet on Friday and Saturday from approx. 11:30 pm until 7:30 am

  • Please do not invite people over without asking.

  • No drunkenness or heavy drinking.

  • No drugs. No marijuana. No "partying."

  • No events.

  • Minimum adult age 21 years old. Not suitable for teens.

  • Must acknowledge that this house is heated by wood stove, and that a cat lives here. 
     

  • The base fee is based on double occupancy, in that, if two people book together, they are expected to share Bedroom #1- French Country. Maximum 2 adults.

  • Bedroom #2- Woodland Animals and Fairies is for children from 3 to 8 years old, only. Maximum 2 children.

 

Children

  • Properly supervise your children at all times. Especially outside. We love children and we specialize in hosting families. Our B&B is most suitable and appropriate for children age 3 to 8 years old, plus non-mobile infants only. Children of any other age must be pre-approved. 

 

 

Babies and Toddlers

• Because we love children, we are concerned for their safety. Our B&B is not suitable for mobile children under approximately 36 months old. This rule is due to choking hazards, unlocked cupboards, and the hot fireplace in the winter. Exceptions can be made, but any exceptions must be pre-approved. You know your child best, and your schedule, too. Non-mobile infants are always very, very welcome. 

 


Dog Policy

  • Our B&B is not suitable for pets because we have a cat who is scared of animals. We have tried hosting people who bring their dog, but it hasn't worked out. Sorry. 

 

Firepit

  • If you would like to sit around the firepit on a cool night in fall or winter, please let us know, and Brian will start the fire for you. Only Brian can start the fire, and prepare the safety measures. Guests are not permitted to start fires.

 

 

A Final Thought

We are sharing our home. Our home is not a hotel. Coming and going at all hours of the night, being reckless with our belongings, taking advantage of our kindness, and making noise during the nighttime quiet hours are indications that somewhere else would better suit your needs.

Our Standards

What You Can Expect at The Cat's Pajamas B&B

 

 

  • Thoroughly cleaned guest amenities. Including:

    • Linens

    • Bedrooms

    • Bathroom

    • Floors

    • Kitchen

 

  • Privacy: Your bedroom will not be entered without permission. Your bathroom will not be entered without permission.

 

  • On check-in, you will be greeted, at the time that we agreed to.

 

  • You will be respected by friendly and welcoming hosts.

 

  • Issues that may arise will be dealt with in a timely manner.

 

  • We will do our best to be available to our guests by text or in person.

 

  • Self-serve Breakfast will be provided as outlined.

  • The kitchen will be cleaned every day.  Guests do not need to do the dishes.

 

 

  • For Guests Staying 1-4 Weeks--

    • Your white bed linens and your towels will be laundered weekly.

    • Your coloured bed linens will be laundered bi-weekly.

    • Your bedroom will be swept, dusted and garbage changed weekly.

    • Your bathroom will be cleaned weekly.

    • Guests' personal laundry:  Please leave your laundry outside your bedroom door, in the baskets provided. Your laundry will be washed, dried and folded for you on Tuesdays, Thursdays and/or Saturdays.
