Detailed Descriptions
bedding, and the private bathroom are always thoroughly cleaned between guests by me and I am the biggest OCD germaphobe cleaner you will ever meet. (*not a scent-free environment*)
Paradoxically, I may be a germaphobe but I am not a neat freak when it comes to living and being comfy and happy. So mess up those pillows and blankets on the couch, put up your feet, get comfortable, leave the frying pan on the stove, just relax, live and be happy. :)
After you book, you will be given the password to our Guest-only pages. They have information including the wifi password and directions.

Overview
Fall is here! It is getting quite cool and the leaves are changing colour. Come be our guests! The flowers in the gardens may be fading but the patio and BBQ are still available! The strawberries are pretty much done for the season, but you can bake some potatoes on the BBQ with our homegrown giant potatoes.
We got a whole lot of spacious going on! Wander around, see the gardens, or venture down into the wild and woolly areas to look for bears! hahaha!! Put on a warm sweater and have some tea or a glass of wine while you relax in the comfy patio chairs and enjoy the changing seasons and the cool, fresh air.
Business travellers, couples and families feel at home here. Our simple single-level home (1600 sq ft) is in a semi-rural neighbourhood within the city, on the far west side of town, a couple minutes from Highway 16.
Prince George is fairly small so we are still close enough to get almost anywhere in 10 - 20 minutes. (Please allow extra time when the roads have snow or ice on them.)
Our home is clean, minus random cat fur. Please rest assured that our guest amenities, all

Families
• Bedroom #2 is the Woodland Bedroom. It is for children age 3 to 8 years old, only. There are toys, stuffies, colouring supplies, books, and a nightlight. The toys are mostly imaginational toys for constructive play rather than name brand toys. The decor theme I am working toward is " Woodland Animals and Fairies."
• Our home is a safe, comfortable, happy place for children age 3 to 8 years, plus non-mobile infants. ( Please watch children around the fireplace.)
• Secluded and fully fenced play area. Includes playhouse, climbers, some toys & sleds, and a small, gentle hill for sledding, (sandbox for summer). Adult supervision is required when children are outside.

-
As active grandparent-types, we love children and small babies. I am a preschool teacher and my husband has 5 grown children and 5 grandchildren (so far!)

I have ECE, First Aid, CPR, Crim Check, Food Safe, references and years of experience.
-
I used to run a licensed preschool downstairs so safety issues have been considered.

Random Information
1. FYI:
-
Monday to Friday, my husband gets up for work at 6 am. He leaves at 6:30 am.
-
I am a quiet night owl, but in the morning normal noise will not disturb my sleep, so don’t worry about that. :)
2. About the house:
We live on the main floor of our home, which is upstairs. The basement suite is rented to a nice young man. The two basement bedrooms are directly below our guest rooms; however, our French Country guest bedroom is over the unused extra room.
The house has two levels but it is on a hillside. Therefore, the house looks like one level from the north side, which has our entrance, and it looks like two levels from the south side.
3. Vehicles:
Space to park extra vehicles and large vehicles such as moving vans, campers or RVs is available on our property, on our unpaved lane, visible from the living room. Please give us plenty of warning to snowblow that lane in the winter as it is not usually used.
.Bathroom
You will have a completely disinfected private bathroom with a heated floor. You will find conveniences for guests such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bubble bath, hair dryer, straightening iron, and sewing kit. The bathroom is just down the hall from your room.

Help yourself to fruit on the counter, tea, coffee, and snacks which are in the guest cupboard.
Please do not do the dishes. You are our guests. You are either on holidays or on business and either way, you will enjoy your stay much more if you do not have to do dishes! Nod yes! Thank you!
Living Room
Just make yourself at home. Don't be shy. Lounge on the couches. Watch satellite tv or DVD movies. Use the treadmill if you like. Play the piano. Gaze out the window. Watch the fire burn. Or play with the cat... the laser light red dot is always entertaining!
The Five Acres
On cool nights, you can sit around the firepit, drinking hot cocoa, and staring up at all the stars.
Snow? Try tobogganing! Property is quite hilly. We have several sleds for guests to use. So bring your snow pants. :)
Guest Interaction
You can have as much privacy as you wish or you can visit with us.
-
Join us in the living room some evenings to chat or watch tv, if you wish.
-
Some nights we just read in our bedroom.
-
Some nights we go out to teach ballroom and social dancing at a dance studio.
-
If you are interested, ask if there will be a dance event in town while you are with us. :) Come join us for an evening dance or maybe a lesson!
The French Country Bedroom
• Bedroom #1 is the French Country Bedroom. It is perfect for a couple or single. There are fancy chocolates to tickle the palate, flickering, remote control candles for ambience, local books in the drawer for quiet moments, extra pillows in the cupboard for added comfort, and a very exciting luggage stand... for... luggage. The decor theme I am working toward is "Romance of French Country Charm." I am currently on the lookout for suitable artwork.
• When using only the French Country bedroom, you are free to keep your empty luggage or other items in the Woodland bedroom.
The Woodland Bedroom
• Bedroom #2 is the Woodland Bedroom. It is for children only. More info under "Families."

Bedrooms
About the Two Restful and Extremely Clean Guest Bedrooms:
-
The bedrooms each have their own thermostat and baseboard heater, however, autumn through spring, our fireplace/wood stove keeps the house toasty warm.
-
In each bedroom, there is a cupboard with guest towels, and a closet with hangers and extra bedding.
-
The bedrooms both overlook many forested acres. In the summer, a landscaped waterfall can be heard through the open windows.
